资源简介:
Indigenous communities are often socially and economically marginalized which makes them particularly vulnerable to the impact of COVID-19. The Population Council has a longstanding partnership with indigenous communities in Mexico through the \"Abriendo Futuros\" program. To understand the knowledge, perspectives, and needs related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Council will conduct online and phone-based knowledge, attitudes and practices (KAP) surveys with adolescents (14–17 years), adults (18+), and community authorities in the states of Chiapas and Yucatán, where local organizations are working. Each survey will last between 20–25 minutes. Online surveys will be shared through established networks between local organizations and beneficiaries in each of the communities. Results will be used to help inform communication strategies and identify resources that may be prioritized to meet the needs of these communities.
