This layer contains priority HUC-12 subwatersheds in the Western Michigan Upper Peninsula for Brook Trout as identified by the Ashland Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office (AFWCO). <div><br /></div><div>These were identified to direct habitat restoration efforts in this geography for the USFWS AFWCO Habitat Restoration Program. These are intended for informational purposes only and are subject to change as new information is gathered. Selection of these watersheds was made based on knowledge of the status and distribution of Brook Trout, future stream temperature projections (FishVis), current management plans and existing priorities of partners working in the area. </div><div><br /></div><div>For more information contact Peter Leonard at the USFWS AFWCO Office. </div>
