资源简介:
Actinomadura. This bacteria belongs to the Thermonosporaceae family of Actinobacteria. and has been isolated from the soil, where normally inhabits. It is inoculated into the skin and subcutaneous tissue of subjects by minor trauma with thorns or splinters contaminated with soil. The infection is characterized by local tumefaction, and the production of fistulae that drain microcolonies or granules of the microorganism, which measures about 1 mm and are usually observed at the naked eye. Actinomycetoma therapy includes the use of antimicrobials which have to be taken for long periods of time. Although there exist many Actinomadura species, A. madurae and A. pelletieri are the most recognized pathogens of this genera; A. madurae is the second etiologic agent reported in Mexico, producing about 7% of the total cases of actinomycetoma. The determination of the complete genomic sequencing may allow us to develop better ways to fight against this deforming, stigmatizing disease. Isolate obtained from a mycetoma human case in Monterrey, Mexico in 2011.
