Gene expression profiling for: activin-2 is required for regeneration of polarity on the planarian anterior-posterior axis

The goal of this data set is to identify transcriptional changes in activin-2 RNAi animals vs control animals. We did bulk RNA sequencing of a wound induced time course to try to identify changes in the context of activin-2 RNAi, and targets of activin-2. These changes may help explain some of the phenotypic chnages seen in activin-2 RNAi animals. Overall design: Polyadenylated RNA was isolated from post-pharyngeal fragments at 0, 6, 18, 24, and 48 hours post-amputation (hpa) from planarians following RNAi of a control gene (C.elegans unc-22; 3-4 replicates) and activin-2 (3-4 replicates). Either anterior- or posterior-facing wound fragments were taken. Worms were fed four times over 14 days and cut 7 days after 4th feeding.
