Direct learning outcomes assessment (communication) in higher education_Costa Rica
收藏资源简介:
This dataset is part of the doctoral research: “Propuesta de un modelo de análisis multivariado para evaluar los resultados de aprendizaje de estudiantes en educación superior”. The study population consists of students enrolled in engineering programs during the 2023–2024 academic year in an engineering higher education institution in Costa Rica. The database comprises a sample of 384 observations, integrating three sources of information: (1) direct assessments of learning outcomes using a curricular analytics tool of communication; (2) demographic data obtained from institutional records; and (3) responses from student surveys that measured self-efficacy, perceptions of instructional design, and perceived achievement of the learning outcomes promoted by the program. The direct assessments were collected as part of an institutional strategy to evaluate learning outcomes across various engineering programs for accreditation and continuous improvement purposes, using the attributes defined by the Washington Accord and the International Engineering Alliance. The data were collected in accordance with ethical principles established in international regulations such as the Declaration of Helsinki, and national laws such as the Biomedical Research Regulatory Law No. 9234 and the Law on the Protection of Individuals Regarding the Processing of Their Personal Data No. 8968. Additionally, the database has been anonymized to ensure the confidentiality and anonymity of the participants. Informed consent was obtained for this study, which included provisions for the academic use of the data, and the corresponding institutional permissions were secured.
