Transcriptomic analysis of tailbud stage embryos (10 hours post-fertilization) of the Mexican tetra Astyanax mexicanus. Embryos from surface and caves morphs as well as recirpocal F1 hybrids were analyzed. The goal of the study is to analyse the divergence in RNA expression during development of closely-related fish presenting very different phenotypes. Reciprocal hybrids allows the study of parental inheritance of gene expression and the identification of cis- and trans-regulation evolution.
