Rumen microbial community profiling using 16S and 18S rRNA gene sequencing in dairy cows

This project includes amplicon sequencing data generated to characterize the rumen microbial communities of dairy cows. Bacterial and archaeal communities were profiled using 16S rRNA gene sequencing, while rumen protozoal communities were characterized using 18S rRNA gene sequencing. Taxonomic classification was performed using the SILVA rRNA gene reference database. These data were generated to support studies on rumen microbial composition in relation to dietary treatments and rumen fermentation.
