ESFire30 is a long-term burned area dataset for the Iberian Peninsula derived from Landsat satellite imagery at 30 m spatial resolution using the BAMT algorithm. The collection includes two complementary products: (1) an annual burned area polygon dataset covering the period 1985–2025, and (2) a MODIS date-corrected version covering 2001–2025, where fire occurrence dates were refined using MODIS active fire and burned area products. The datasets provide consistent wildfire perimeters and burned area estimates across four decades, supporting wildfire risk assessment, fire history reconstruction, spatial-temporal analysis, and environmental monitoring. Burned area polygons are distributed as yearly Shapefiles and include attributes such as burned area in hectares. The datasets are intended for applications related to wildfire management, remote sensing, climate impact studies, and fire regime analysis in Mediterranean ecosystems.
