Profile of Child Care Settings, 1990

<p>The profile of Child Care Settings Study was conducted for the US Department of Education with the primary objective of determining the levels and characteristics of early education and care that are available in the United States. The survey of center-based early education and care programs collected extensive data on a number of topics including hours of operation, child care fee amounts and frequencies, time spent on various child care activities, renumeration and functions of different staff members, program policies and links with other agencies, special services offered, contact with parents, as well as provider training and accreditation.</p>
