Hybrid genome re-sequencing of Neisseria mucosa ATCC 19696

To support accurate genome-wide fitness profiling of Neisseria mucosa ATCC 19696, the strain's genome was re-sequenced due to concerns over contamination in the existing NCBI reference assembly (ASM302831v1, as of 2025-06-18). High-quality genomic DNA was submitted to SeqCenter (Pittsburgh, PA) for hybrid long-read and short-read sequencing using Oxford Nanopore and Illumina technologies, respectively. The resulting data were used for de novo genome assembly and annotation.
