Microbiomes associated with rice false smut (Ustilaginoidea virens)

In this study, 180 rhizosphere soil samples were collected from 30 rice varieties in fields naturally infected with rice false smut (Ustilaginoidea virens) and used for amplicon sequencing; 36 rhizosphere soil samples from 6 rice varieties were used for metagenomic sequencing. After data analysis, key microorganisms from the Sphingomonadaceae family were isolated, and 8 isolates were selected for whole-genome sequencing. We conducted six biological replications for both amplicon and metagenomic sequencing of the rhizosphere samples.
