The Non-Admitted Patient Emergency Department Care Database (NAPEDCD) is a compilation of electronic records of non-admitted patient service episodes from emergency departments of selected public hospitals. The hospitals included were classified as either a Principal referral and specialist women's and children's hospital or a Large hospital (Peer Group A or B) in the AIHW's Australian Hospital Statistics publication from the preceding financial year (see appendix 1 of Australian hospital statistics 2007-08 for further information).
