Cow-to-mouse fecal transplantation established intestinal microbiota as cause of cow mastitis

In this study, we use GF mice and FMT method to underline a new pathological cause for prolonged or repeated inflammation for instance cow mastitis. The structure and function analysis of gut microbiota showed that healthy intestinal microflora structure was crucial for mammary gland health of mice and cows. In addition, the optimistic therapeutic effects in GF mice have been demonstrated that probiotics supplementation could be a potential anti-mastitis treatment in bovine mastitis.
