Acute exposures to thermal stress with large variations affect secondary stress response in ornamental fish Koi carp (Cyprinus carpio var koi)

The study reports secondary stress response in Koi due to acute temperature disturbances in a domesticated environment. Aim is to understand their physiological responses in short-term exposure to thermal stress. Sustainability of domesticated ornamental fish species, due to temperature has long been a subject of interest because of its commercial importance. Presumably, the study will amplify the physiological data resources pertaining to Koi carp and give a boost to aquarists for their cultivation.
