The global map of forest types for the year 2020 provides a spatially explicit representation of three forest types aligned with definitions as set out in Regulation (EU) 2023/1115: 1) primary forest, 2) natural regenerating forest and 3) planted forest (including plantation forests). The mapping scope of forest types is inside the spatial extent of the Global map of forest cover 2020 version 3 at 10m spatial resolution in geographical coordinates (latitude, longitude).
