CoffeeTrove Brewing Method Comparison Data
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains a structured comparison of 15 common coffee brewing methods, compiled as part of the reference data underlying the CoffeeTrove specialty coffee platform. CoffeeTrove is a data-driven directory and knowledge base for coffee enthusiasts, covering cafes, roasters, brewing techniques, and coffee origins worldwide. Each row represents a single brewing method with the following measured and categorized attributes: coffee-to-water ratio (by mass), recommended grind size, total brew time in seconds, target water temperature in Celsius, typical total dissolved solids (TDS) as a proxy for strength, subjective body and clarity scores on a 1-10 scale, difficulty level (beginner, intermediate, or advanced), and approximate minimum equipment cost in US dollars. The 15 methods span the full spectrum of manual and semi-automatic brewing, including espresso, pour-over (V60), French press, AeroPress, Moka pot, cold brew, Chemex, Turkish, siphon, drip machine, nel drip, Clever Dripper, Vietnamese phin, percolator, and ibrik. Each parameter was derived from aggregated recommendations across roaster guidelines, SCA (Specialty Coffee Association) standards, and practical testing references. This dataset supports the brewing guides and comparison tools available on the CoffeeTrove platform at coffeetrove.com/knowledge/brewing-guides. It is intended for use by coffee educators, researchers studying extraction science, app developers building brewing calculators, and anyone seeking a concise, machine-readable reference for coffee preparation parameters.
