Functional analysis of the five mutated genes in erythritol high-producing strain Yarrowia lipolytica CA20

Five genes were mutated in the Yarrowia lipolytica CA20 obtained by mutagenesis. These genes have been demonstrated to be associated with erythritol biosynthesis. But how these genes regulate the erythritol synthesis remains unclear. Thus, transcriptome analysis was performed to unravel the underlying mechanisms.
