Data and codes for "Changing flood-generating mechanisms and their impacts on flood characteristics in snow-dominated catchments"

This repository contains the data and code to reproduce the findings in the manuscript "Changing flood-generating mechanisms and their impacts on flood characteristics in snow-dominated catchments". The study explicitly disentangles inter-type mechanism transitions from intra-type characteristic shifts to overall changes in flood behavior across Northern Hemisphere snow-dominated catchments.The study reveals that the widespread shift from snowmelt- to rainfall-driven floods significantly steepens the rising limb of flood hydrographs and delays flood timing, without systematically changing overall flood magnitudes.
