Neurotoxicity after multiple exposures to general anesthetics is of great concern in pediatric anesthesia. Multiple neonatal exposures to sevoflurane caused behavior and cognitive disorders, but the lack of cell type-specific resource has limited our understanding of its mechanism. Here, we conducted the single-nuclei RNA sequencing (snRNA-seq) study to reveal a cellular atlas of hippocampus during the developmental sevoflurane neurotoxicity compared with the physiological condition.
