A corpus of job announcements for the recruitment of translators at the Swiss Confederation

This corpus of job announcements was compiled as part of a year-long research project on the profile and needs of in-house translators working for the language services of the Swiss Confederation. It allows for an analysis of the most frequent requirements for recruiting new staff and their most common tasks. The announcements were retrieved from the digital archives of the Swiss Federal Office of Personnel. The corpus contains 250 job announcements in their French version, covering the period from 2016 to 2023, with a total of 70,337 words. A thorough manual annotation of competences/requirements and tasks was conducted by the author using NVivo. This resource includes: (1) a READ-ME file with a detailed description of the resource; (2) the corpus in .xls format; and (3) the output of the manual analysis in .xls format.
