Microbiota Research on Chinses Obesity

Obesity has become a global threat to human health and is a major risk for metabolic and cardiovascular diseases. Body mass index(BMI) is the most well-accepted indicator to define obesity. However, the BMI is not suitable for Chinese. The characteristic of Chinese obesity is central style. The waist circumference is the key criteria for central obesity. Here, 2058 samples’ faeces were collected and extracted for metagenome analysis. The purpose of the study is that we hope to find the new formula for evaluating obesity of Chinese.
