Surficial Geology of New Jersey

This geographic information system (GIS) data set shows the extent of surficial geologic materials in New Jersey. Surficial materials are the unconsolidated glacial, river, wetland, windblown, marine, estuarine, and hillslope sediments and weathered rock materials that overlie bedrock and Coastal Plain formations and that are the parent material for agronomic soils.本地理信息系统（Geographic Information System）数据集展示了新泽西州地表地质物质的分布范围。此类地表地质物质为覆盖于基岩与海岸平原地层之上的未固结冰川沉积、河流沉积、湿地沉积、风成沉积、海洋沉积、河口沉积及山坡沉积物，以及风化岩石物质，同时亦是农业土壤的成土母质。
