Second Lake-Sackville Lakes

A YSI Professional Plus probe is used to collect information on water temperature, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, total dissolved solids, salinity and pH at regular intervals through the water column in the deepest area(s) of the lake. Secchi disk is used as a measure of water clarity. Grab samples were taken at an inlet, outflow of a culvert and at the boat launch for E. Coli and sent to an accredited lab for analysis. Plans are to include grab samples for standard water assessment and metals in the deepest area of the lake to be sent for laboratory analysis in our second year of testing. E. Coli sampling will also be expanded.
