Margaret and William J. Casey Collection, 1910-1930

<P>Margaret Casey was born in March 1893 to John and Joanna Casey, the fifth of six children. She graduated from the art course at Soldan High School in June 1912. By 1930, Margaret worked as either a stenographer or a typist for the Treasury Department in Kansas City's Prohibition Office. She returned to St. Louis where she died on May 7, 1954. William Jerome Casey was born in January 1905, brother to Margaret and the only son of John and Joanna Casey. He graduated from Soldan High School in June 1922 and earned a degree in electrical engineering from Washington University in June 1926. William died in August 1992.</P>

<P>The collection is comprised of a scrapbook kept by Margaret Casey during her senior year at Soldan High School in 1912 and commencement announcements and programs for William Jerome Casey's matriculations in 1922 and 1926 from Soldan High School and Washington University, respectively. The collection is arranged alphabetically by name and dates from 1910 to 1930. The bulk of the collection dates from 1910 to 1913 with the following date gaps: 1915 to 1921, 1923-1925, and 1927 to 1929.</P>
