Women, Business and the Law: Overall score

The Overall Score in Women, Business and the Law measures the extent of legal gender equality across eight key areas of a woman’s working life. It is a synthetic indicator constructed by averaging the scores of the eight component indicators: Mobility, Workplace, Pay, Marriage, Parenthood, Entrepreneurship, Assets, and Pension. Each component reflects the presence of legal frameworks that promote or hinder women’s economic participation. The score ranges from 0 to 100, where 100 represents full legal equality with men.
