When East Meets West: Cross-domain DDI annotation datasets

This dataset encompasses Western Drug-Drug Interactions (DDIs) and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) DDIs. As the use of both Western and TCM therapies expands, understanding potential interactions between these diverse medication types becomes crucial for clinical safety. The dataset aims to facilitate research in drug interaction prediction by providing high-quality, annotated examples from both domains. We employ advanced methodologies, including TEmbed-DDI, to analyze and integrate the multi-scale drug data, enhancing the robustness and generalization of DDI prediction models. Our findings highlight the importance of this dataset for advancing interaction research and improving patient outcomes in polypharmacy contexts.
