ENHANCING INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE AMONG MEDICAL DOCTORS IN UZBEKISTAN THROUGH COMMUNICATIVE LANGUAGE TEACHING: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES

In the era of globalization and increasing international mobility, medical doctors are expected to communicate effectively with patients from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. Consequently, intercultural communicative competence (ICC) has become a fundamental component of professional medical practice. This study explores the role of the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) approach in enhancing the intercultural communicative competence of medical doctors in Uzbekistan. The research aims to identify the major challenges limiting the development of intercultural communication skills and to examine the opportunities offered by CLT-based instruction in medical English education.
