Dataset of CIRS

The data are part of large-scale survey organized by the China Institute for Rural Studies (CIRS) at Tsinghua University from 2012 to 2016. The survey questionnaire covered seven major topics: basic information of family and family members, family economic conditions, irrigation and farmland water conservancy, rural governance and organization in rural areas, education, rural hygiene and social guarantees, and rural living environment. The survey contains information at both the household and village level. The survey data cove a wide range of topics and could be used for various research purposes. The data here reflects one of the questionnaire parts “irrigation and farmland water conservancy”, but also draws some information from the other parts of the questionnaire.

本数据集为清华大学中国农村研究院（China Institute for Rural Studies, CIRS）于2012至2016年组织实施的大型调查项目的组成部分。本次调查问卷涵盖七大核心议题：家庭及家庭成员基本信息、家庭经济状况、灌溉与农田水利、乡村治理与基层组织、教育、农村卫生与社会保障，以及农村人居环境。本次调查同时采集家庭与村级两个层面的相关信息。本调查数据覆盖议题范围广泛，可应用于多类研究场景。本次发布的数据集对应调查问卷中的「灌溉与农田水利」模块，同时亦从调查问卷其余模块中提取了部分关联信息。
