资源简介:

This dataset contains research data on the leaf transpiration response of African mahogany (Khaya senegalensis) seedlings subjected to varying levels of irrigation water salinity, ranging from 0.5 to 5 dS·m⁻¹. The study was conducted using drainage lysimeters in an experimental field in Bahia, Brazil, over a four-month period. The dataset includes measurements of stomatal conductance and photosynthetically active radiation (Qleaf), providing insights into how water salinity influences plant physiology, particularly leaf transpiration. The research shows a significant reduction in transpiration with increasing salinity, especially above 3.5 dS·m⁻¹, and highlights the negative correlation between electrical conductivity and leaf transpiration. The findings emphasize the potential of African mahogany for cultivation in semi-arid regions, with a focus on the importance of proper management practices to ensure sustainable water use and mitigate the effects of salinity. Keywords: African Mahogany, Khaya senegalensis, Transpiration, Irrigation Salinity, Semi-Arid Regions, Water Management, Soil Salinity, Stomatal Conductance, Photosynthetically Active Radiation, Sustainable Agriculture, Lysimeters.
