Soil microbiome from cross-inoculated agricultural soils

We conducted a factorial microcosm experiment under controlled anoxic conditions, using sterile and unsterile, fluvo-aquic soil of the North China Plain and black soil of Northeast China soils inoculated with native and non-native whole-soil inocula. This design enabled us to disentangle the effects of soil environment, microbial colonization potential, and biotic resistance on community assembly and N cycling performance.
