Parties Between National and Local Politics, 2008, County level

The main theme for this survey is to map to what degree the political parties tie different levels of government together in the norwegian democracy. The survey is part of the project "Demokratisk styring i et flernivåsystem" and financed by the Research Council of Norways programme "Democracy and Governance in Regional Context". The survey maps communication between the local, regional and national level. The respondents (on county- and municipality-level) are also asked to consider the relationship between the levels in their own party. The question covers both contact about organisational conditions (between the parties national meetings) and contact tied to continued municipal, county and state decisional processes. Both contact that parties centrallty has initiated, and communication that stems from local and regional initiative, is included. Additionally it a few questions concern contact with other political bodies outside their own party, including the organisation KS and KS' role on the political system.
