资源简介:
The goal of the Tracking Results Continuously (TRaC) study is to contribute to the improvement of sexual and reproductive health and to reduce the rate of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and HIV infection in Suriname by expanding the availability of condoms particularly in high-risk sales outlets near hotspots for risky sex and to focus on behaviour change among Female Sex Workers (FSW). The data gathered through the TRaC survey will therefore be used to provide evidence for the implementation and monitoring of Population Services International's (PSI) HIV program. This information can then be used in the development of interventions and strategies that aim at the reduction of HIV rates among sex workers in Suriname. The study's overall goal is aimed at reducing the number of new cases of STI and HIV infections in Suriname, as well as the four key objectives of: 1) Improved supply of affordable high quality contraceptives; 2) Improved key behavioral determinants related to safer behaviors; 3) Improved behaviors among target groups with regard to HIV prevention; and 4) Decreased barriers to the use and uptake of contraceptives and health care services.
