Bulk metabarcoding of macroinvertebrates, Trebbia River, Northern Italy

We collected macroinvertebrates from 6 sites located in the Trebbia River, Northern Italy. We aimed to test if metabarcoding results were consistent with those gathered with morphological identification and if metabarcoding can provide further information for detecting the effects of intermittence on the macroinvertebrate community. Macroinvertebrates were collected with a surber net from an area of 0.5 m2 in December 2017 and June-July 2018. Organisms were identified both morphologically and with metabarcoding. The results of this study are discussed in Laini et al. (2020).
