Model output for: Mutual stabilization of AMOC and GrIS due to different transient response to warming
收藏资源简介:
This repository contains model output from the Bern3D Earth system model of intermediate complexity (doi:10.1175/JCLI-D-23-0104.1) for simulations presented in "Mutual stabilization of AMOC and GrIS due to different transient response to warming" by F. Pöppelmeier and T. F. Stocker, Environmental Research Letters. Files include surface fields of ocean temperature and salinity.Timeseries output over 3000 years:AMOC_hysteresis.nc: Timeseries output of the AMOC hysteresis experiments with slowly increasing freshwater forcing to the North Atlatic (Fig. 1).SST_AMOC_hysteresis_highTP.nc: Global SST field of AMOC hysteresis experiment for AMOC with high tipping point (highTP) (Fig. 1b).Timeseries_highTP.nc: 3000 yr time series of GMST, AMOC, GrIS ice volume, and GrIS meltwater flux for experiments with high AMOC tipping point (Fig. 3).Timeseries_midTP.nc: 3000 yr time series of GMST, AMOC, GrIS ice volume, and GrIS meltwater flux for experiments with mid AMOC tipping point.Timeseries_lowTP.nc: 3000 yr time series of GMST, AMOC, GrIS ice volume, and GrIS meltwater flux for experiments with low AMOC tipping point.SST_SSS_highTP.nc: 3000 yr SST and SSS fields for experiment with high AMOC tipping point (Fig. 4).Timeseries_ensemble.nc: 3000 yr time series of GMST, AMOC, GrIS ice volume, and GrIS meltwater flux for the entire ensemble (Fig. 5).Timeseries_ensemble_rampdown.nc: 3000 yr time series of GMST, AMOC, GrIS ice volume, and GrIS meltwater flux for the entire ensemble of the ramp down experiments (Fig. 5).
