Soil microbial community composition, enzyme activity and physicochemical properties as affected by restoration practices in an alpine meadow

Restoration of degraded grassland ecosystems can not only change ecosystem processes to support the survival of native plants but also affect soil biological attributes. However, little is known concerning the effects of artificial grassland establishment on bacterial community composition in extremely degraded black-soils alpine meadow ecosystems of the Dawu village, Maqin county of Golog Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Qinghai Province, China, limiting our ability to underground ecological processes the re-establishment of artificial grassland. To address this issue, we selected 4, 8 and 12 years of restoration lands to examine the effect of artificial grassland on bacterial community composition and diversity.
