Microbial community in deep-sea volcanic ash sediments

In this study, we conducted mineralogical, geochemical and microbiological studies on surface sediment samples from the Kermadec Trench that characterise one of the volcanic ash types to reveal whether the microbial communities of sediments affected by the same type of volcanic ash differ and what the main driving factors are.
