We have characterized Y. pseudotuberculosis complex strains originating from various parts of the world using the Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats (CRISPR) analysis. Our first article has just been published (Koskela et al., 2015. Environm Microbiol. 17:4306). Here we have produced genome sequence data of ca. 100 Y. pseudotuberculosis serotype O:1 strains plus 20 other strains. The de novo assembly of the sequencing reads has been completed and the CRISPR loci of the genomes were identified and their preliminary analysis has been carried out.
