The biodiversity of psychrophiles in face of climate change based on example of disappearing glaciers in Turkey

The objective of our study was to understand the role of cryoconites in mountain ecosystems and their responses to climate change. Glaciers are among the most endangered ecosystems, rapidly losing surface area and leading to biodiversity loss. Investigating cryoconites on Mount Ararat can provide valuable insights into organism adaptations to extreme conditions and their impact on local ecosystems.
