Simultaneous measurements of solar wind from L1, shocked solar wind from Magnetosheath, and measures of geomagnetic response from ground-based indices

These data are compiled from other sources, and are used in the calcuations and simulations for the paper "Regression to the Mean of Extreme Geomagnetic Storms". Data.zip contains the curated data set of simultaneous measurements from L1 satellites and ground-based measurements. Simultaneous measurements made in the Magnetosheath, is currently still a private database, which is in the process of being published as a separate dataset. The methodology used to create this magnetosheath measurements is described by Michotte de Welle et al., 2024. Once published, we will update it onto this repository. Meanwhile, please contact the author for access to the dataset for the purposes of reviewing the results associated with the work.
