This collection comprises a database of 578 assemblage-level records from 346 sites. The data presented here form part of the Historic England-funded regional review series, the goal of which is to summarise and disseminate the English animal bone record. This dataset includes published and unpublished assemblages of mammal, bird and fish bones from Roman sites from southern England, collected up to 2020.
