资源简介:
This dataset contains the minimum thermal insulation (R-value) requirements for Australian Class 2 (apartment) buildings (Sole Occupancy Units only) at different locations and at different times of construction as identified in the Australian National Construction Code. Three main categories of insulation are covered: roof and ceiling, walls, and floors. This dataset was developed to help in the assessment of the energy efficiency of existing Australian apartments.\nFurther details of this dataset and how it was developed are available in the accompanying report "Minimum insulation standards for Australian apartment buildings - A study through the historical archives of the National Construction Code" (https://doi.org/10.25919/ej4k-vj73).\n\n\nLineage: This dataset was developed by interrogating historical editions of the Australian National Construction Code (NCC) (and its predecessor the Building Code of Australia). Deemed-to-satisfy elemental provisions in the NCC define minimum insulation requirements (R-values) for roof and ceiling, wall, and floor in Sole Occupancy Units in apartment buildings. The minimum insulation requirements vary across time (with different editions of the code) and across different locations (climate zones, and state/territories) and according to several other identified criteria. However, certain periods were identified when deemed-to-satisfy elemental provisions for minimum insulation R-values did not apply. Instead, there was a requirement to use energy rating software to demonstrate that an overall energy efficiency requirement was met. \nFurther details of how this dataset was developed are available in the accompanying report "Minimum insulation standards for Australian apartment buildings - A study through the historical archives of the National Construction Code" (https://doi.org/10.25919/ej4k-vj73).
