Ecological data from set-aside fields in northwest Saxony

This file contains the ecological data on the frequency of arable plant species and soil parameters sampled in 2022 on set-aside fields in northwest Saxony. It also contains information on the calculations of the ecological value of plant communities and landuse-diversity metrics. This data was used for the analyses described in the manuscript: Hölting, L., Cord, A.F., Hänel, S., Hofmann, L., Marburg, C., Wendler, J., Zwanzig, L., Kernecker M. (2025) "Determining the ecological value and farmers' perceptions of set-aside land", which was accepted for publication in Ecosphere. The R code used for the analyses in this manuscript is also included in this file.
