Feces form control, E. coil, and treatment groups were collected to prepare the FMT inoculum, then were processed as previously described 21. Briefly, the freshly fecal samples were immediately homogenized under sterile conditions in an N2 gas within 2 hours of collection. Subsequently, the homogenates were filtered through 0.25 mm stainless steel cell strainers and centrifuged at 6000g for 15 min to remove particulate impurities. One day after FMT, mice were challenged with E. coil infection.
