VPRS 9670 Minutes of Commissioners' Meetings

This series consists of volumes containing the certified minutes of the meetings of the Commissioners.The Commissioners were required to keep minutes of all their meetings under Section 32 of the Electricity Commissioners Act 1918 (No.2996). This requirement was not changed by the passage of the State Electricity Commission Act 1920 (No.3104).The minutes include the names of those who attended the meetings and a precis of matters discussed at the meetings. The Commissioners were the steering body of the State Electricity Commission of Victoria. It was the role of the Commissioners to take all decisions and actions necessary to establish the means to generate electricity and distribute it.
