Title:“Mental Health and Social Media Use Dataset from Bangladesh (Based on PHQ-9, GAD-7, BSMAS)” Description:This dataset contains responses collected from participants in Bangladesh regarding their mental health status and social media usage behavior. The survey was conducted using a structured Google Form and includes standardized mental health and addiction assessment tools. Specifically, the questionnaire was based on: PHQ-9 (Patient Health Questionnaire-9) – for assessing depression symptoms GAD-7 (Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7) – for anxiety levels BSMAS (Bergen Social Media Addiction Scale) – to evaluate social media addiction tendencies The raw data was collected anonymously and then transformed into a structured, machine-readable format. The final dataset includes: A computed Mental Health Score (based on PHQ-9 and GAD-7) A computed Social Media Addiction Score (based on BSMAS) Demographic and behavioral variables (e.g., sleep duration, daily usage hours, academic pressure) Additional exploratory questions intended for future predictive modeling or longitudinal analysis Two versions are included: raw_data.csv: Raw anonymized responses as exported from Google Forms processed_data.csv: Cleaned and encoded dataset ready for analysis, including derived scores Target Audience:Researchers, data scientists, and mental health analysts interested in exploring the relationship between digital behavior and psychological well-being, particularly in the context of South Asian youth.
