This project provides transcriptomic and behavioral data from Aedes albopictus mosquitoes in response to botanical (citral, nepetalactone) and synthetic (dimefluthrin) repellents. RNA-seq analysis identified differentially expressed genes involved in stress response and metabolism, with HSP70 isoforms playing distinct roles in behavioral avoidance and physiological tolerance. These findings offer molecular insights for developing next-generation mosquito repellents through targeted disruption of insect defense systems.
