Opsin 5 mediates violet light-accelerated wound healing in mammalian corneas.

The goal is to test whether the expression of opsin 5 in the cornea after wounding regulates transcriptional networks of the whole cornea. Bulk RNA transcripts of 4 replicates of Opn5-null and 4 replicates of wt corneas were compared. Corneas were debrided 12 hours prior to harvest. Total RNA was harvested and frozen. Samples were converted into cDNA and sequenced on a DMB machine.
