Diabetes prevalence in adults in Mexico 2021, by age

In 2021, the highest diabetes prevalence in adults in Mexico corresponded to individuals aged 60 or older, reaching around 31.2 percent of the studied population. Meanwhile, nearly a fifth of respondents between 40 and 59 years also had diabetes in the Latin American country, whether previously diagnosed or detected at the time of the study. As of February 4, 2022, the estimated number of adults living with diabetes in Mexico amounted to over 14 million.
