资源简介:
Pollen analysis at Pueblo Colorado (IA476) and IA2091 concentrates on
identification of the vegetal portion of the subsistence base. Pueblo Colorado
was occupied between the Glaze A and E periods (approximately AD 1300 to the mid
1500s), while IA2091 exhibited evidence of occupation only during Glaze A and B
(AD 1300 to the early 1400s). Stratigraphic pollen samples were examined from
a midden at Pueblo Colorado to examine utilization of plants through time, and
also to provide data concerning plant remains discarded. In addition, two rooms
at Pueblo Colorado were selected for intensive analysis. Multiple samples were
examined from the floors of rooms in Roomblock 1 and Roomblock 2. Samples were
also examined from firepits and the base of a vessel. Evidence for the
processing activities, as well as patterning of those activities, was sought.
Nearby Site IA2091 is represented by three samples collected from the floor of
Room 1.
