Brown adipose expansion and remission of glycemic dysfunction in obese SM/J mice

The purpose of the study was to identify differential expression in the interscapular brown adipose tissue of high fat-fed SM/J mice between 20 and 30 weeks of age. Low fat-fed mice at the same ages were used as an intra-strain control, LG/J mice on the same diets and at the same ages were used as an inter-strain control, and reproductive white adipose tissue from the same mice was used as an inter-tissue control. 128 samples were analyzed, with 4 biological replicates in each strain x diet x age x sex x tissue cohort.本研究旨在鉴定20至30周龄高脂喂养的SM/J小鼠肩胛间棕色脂肪组织（interscapular brown adipose tissue）中的差异表达水平。本研究设置三类对照：同周龄低脂喂养的SM/J小鼠作为品系内对照，同饮食方案、同周龄的LG/J小鼠作为品系间对照，同时取自实验小鼠的生殖白色脂肪组织作为组织间对照。本次分析共纳入128个样本，每个品系×饮食×周龄×性别×组织队列均设置4个生物学重复。
